The Road Fund Board of Directors and the Executive Management Team have recently convened to jointly review the revised and newly developed Policies of the Road Fund Secretariat.

Officiating the three-day session on behalf of the Board chairperson, Mr. Tefo Macheli said Policies are guiding tools of the organization and they also set the standard that allows for well streamlined external and internal processes, they ensure compliance by employees and provide guidance for informed decision making.

Let by the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nkekeletse Makara; the members of Executive Management Team presented the various Policies to the Board of Directors, for validation prior to finalization and implementation by the Secretariat.

He explained that policies do not only provide controls on how operations are to be executed in the organization but they also provide assurance that operations are provided in the desired manner.

Mr. Makara said once finalized, the Policies would be properly disseminated to employees to ensure smooth implementation of same, to ensure that the Fund’s resources and time are utilized effectively as guided by the Policies.

At the end of the session the Deputy Chairperson Mr. Nkareng Letsie applauded all members for their dedication and enthusiasm in which the work was done.

He concluded by indicating that the Policies are not only for the betterment of the Road Fund but for the country at large as the Fund serves the nation as per its mandate which is executed hand in hand with Road Implementing Agencies and Revenue Collection Agencies alike.
