Another project that is implemented by Roads Directorate, and sponsored by the Road Fund is the emergency repair of Peka Major Culvert crossing Sekutukutu River on the A1 – B11 Road.
This repair of Peka Major Culvert has to date cost over M9,678,059.22 while the approved budget is M12,824,930.74.
The Road Fund was established under the Section 21(3) of the Public Financial Management and Accountability Act 2011 and operationalised by the Finance (Road Fund) Regulations 2012. It is dedicated to collection of revenue and disbursement of funds for maintenance of roads.
