The Road Fund Management Team has recently reviewed performance of the Road Fund Strategic Plan, in preparation for the 2026/2027 financial year.
The Team took a deep dive into the Strategic Plan and assessed its performance, further identifying the next steps required to stay on track for the coming year.
The team also discussed areas that require more effort to best maintain a sense of direction in the day to day as well as long term activities of the Road Fund. These included strengthening collaborations with key stakeholders, increasing revenue streams as well as integrating new technologies for better efficiency.
The Road Fund Chief Executive Officer Mrs. ‘Matšepang Sekhokoane has reminded the team that the annual review is a crucial part of ensuring that the Road Fund continues to deliver on its mandate; further applauding them for the progress achieved thus far including the ability to identify areas that will better the performance of the organisation.
She noted that the exercise is bound to bear positive results, not only for the Road Fund but for the country at large, for the more funds are collected, the more roads will be sponsored for their maintenance and rehabilitation.
During the session, Departmental Heads let the development of thorough departmental plans derived from the Strategic Plan, which will form the basis of the performance of the organisation in the coming year.
The current five-year Strategic Plan for the Road Fund will end on March 31, 2028. 2026/2027 will be its fourth year of implementation.
