Safe Driving Skills For Road Fund Staff

Safe Driving Skills For Road Fund Staff

At Road Fund, Road User Safety is taken so seriously that staff members have undergone a two-day Safe Driving Training, conducted by the Road Safety Department in Maseru this week.

Financing Road User Safety Programmes is part of the Fund’s responsibilities, it is for this reason that the Fund decided to invest in its own staff members to ensure they contribute to the overall road user safety in the country.

Speaking at the Training, the Road Safety Department Principal Instructor Ms. Neo Khoale applauded the Fund for allowing staff to undergo the training, which would assist in further honing their driving skills and ensuring that they keep themselves and other road users safe at all times.

She said the topics covered including, but not limited to, causes of road accidents, impact of road accidents on the economy, pre-trip inspection, interpretation of road signs and driving in different terrains, will ensure that trainees drive to save lives, time and money.

The Road Fund Human Resources and Administration Manager Ms. ‘Mafako Lepholisa thanked Road Safety department for an eye opening training. “We thought we were experts in driving until you trained us, I wish you could equip more people in order to enhance safety on the roads,” She reiterated.

The training included an extensive theory part and a practical session where trainees driving skills were assessed.
