Road Fund Staff Undergo Governance, Risk, Compliance and Ethics Training to Strengthen Institutional Integrity

In an effort to enhance institutional integrity and operational excellence, the Road Fund has conducted an introduction to Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Ethics (GRCE) training for its staff Members.

Officiating the training, the Road Fund Chief Executive Officer Mrs. ‘Matšepang Sekhokoane emphasised the strategic importance of aligning with these concepts, explaining that failure to alight with them can have a negative impact on the organisational performance.

“As custodians of public resources, we are accountable not just for the funds we manage but for the systems and behaviours we promote. This training reinforces our commitment to operational integrity and stakeholders’ trust,” she added.

Talking about ethics, she said they talk more to behaviours, adding that it is important to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, in order to contribute positively to the overall performance of the team and reinforcing the desired organisational culture.

The Training was facilitated by the Road Fund Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance Mr. Phoka Thene. It covered among other topics emphasis on the governance of ethics and its significance within the public sector environment,

deep diving into the management of ethics as a proactive and strategic function and understanding the link between ethical culture and organisational performance.
