In response to the Ministry of Education and Training request to government departments and agencies to help children in need by providing them with school necessities, the Road Fund instilled hope to Qoaling LECSA Primary School’s vulnerable children.

The Road Fund provided a full package of school uniforms, including shoes, trousers, dresses, jerseys, shirts and socks to 40 vulnerable children, identified jointly with the teachers at the School.

During the donation ceremony, the Road Fund team expressed their happiness for being able to help these children and acknowledged that the donation may not be enough but will make a difference to the education of the identified beneficiaries.

The Principal of Qoaling LECSA Primary School, Mrs ‘Mamahloli Letsie, was honoured to accept the gifts on behalf of the children. She explained that most of these children are orphans from child headed households, while others live with their unemployed parents and cannot afford to buy uniforms.

She expressed her pride and gratitude for the donation, stating that it would boost the beneficiaries’ confidence and performance at School, for they will be able to come to school as presentable as their fellow students.

One of the grade 7 students, Bohlale Phahla, thanked Road Fund for giving the vulnerable children school uniform packages and expressed hope that more children would receive donations in the future.

The donation was part of the Road Fund Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.
