Road Fund Assists Department of Traffic and Transport with eNaTIS Forms

In a bid to ensure success of the Electronic National Traffic System (eNaTIS) which was recently launched and is currently live in all districts, Road Fund has purchased forms to be used to complement the system.

The forms which cost Road Fund close to M100,000.00 were purchased and delivered to the Department of Traffic and Transport (DTT) on Thursday March 07, 2019.

The Forms are important for all vehicle owners to know and make use of. They are: Application for deregistration/scrapping of motor vehicles, Change of particulars of motor vehicle and/owner, Notification of change of address, declaration in respect of lost vehicle documents and Change of ownership forms.

All Basotho are encouraged to make use of these forms found at DTT so as to keep their vehicles records in good order in the system. This is to ensure smooth service in case of renewal or registration of a new vehicle.

The Electronic National Traffic System is aimed at improving efficiency of the Department of Traffic and Transport not only on shortening the vehicle registration time but on enhancement of revenue collection as well.

ENaTIS started operating on a pilot basis in the two districts of Maseru and Leribe, and it has since rolled out and is live in all districts of the country from March 2019.

Project eNaTIS is implemented by the Department of Traffic and Transport and supported technically and financially by the Road Fund. Out of a budget of about M12 Million, over M4 Million has been spent on the Project to date.
