The Deputy Chairperson of the Road Fund Board Mr. Nkareng Letsie has committed that the Road Fund Secretariat will implement Risk Governance and Quality Management principles, and ensure that they are in line with Road Fund requirements.

Delivering closing remarks at the recent Risk Governance and Quality Management Training, Mr. Letsie said the need to put in place controls and processes to manage and mitigate risk exposure has become pressing for every organisation hence the need for the Board of Directors and Management to undergo training in order to fully appreciate these concepts.

“Our facilitators, let me assure you that we are going to implement, where possible all that you introduced to us, in order to improve our Enterprise Risk Management strategies and our Quality Management Principles,” he reiterated.

He concluded by indicating that the workshop was insightful, excellent and accommodating, as participants had ample opportunity to interact with each other and put into practice what they learnt.

The Facilitator Dr. Peter Tobin wished the Road Fund well in putting into practice what they learnt, saying that the commitment he witnessed during the training signals the intention to fully implement the concepts as learnt.

The four-day training on Risk Governance and Quality Management was attended by Road Fund Board of Directors and Management. It was aimed at providing practical insights in the application of key aspects of Risk Governance and Quality Management with relevance to the Road Fund.

During the training, participants learnt about the fundamentals of Risk Governance and Quality Management Systems as well as how to apply risk and quality control related concepts to suit the Road Fund’s environment.
