The Road Fund Secretariat has bid farewell to two outgoing members of the Board of Directors, at a ceremony hosted by the Secretariat and attended by the Board Members and Management Team in Maseru on Friday.
Mr. Charles Mopeli and Mr. Sechaba Thibeli served the Road Fund’s Board as Members for six years and three years respectively.
Speaking at the occasion on behalf of the Board Members Mr. Sepitle Masenyetse thanked the outgoing members for the commitment they demonstrated on their work over the years that they served together in Board.
The Chief Executive Officer Mrs. ‘Matšepang Sekhokoane thanked the Directors for the hard work albeit having worked with them for a short period of time, adding that she has felt at home since she reported for duty through the support of these Board Members who engaged her and ensured she settled well in her new role.
“You have set the direction, I am glad you leave at the time that I have settled and comfortable to push the mandate of the Road Fund, we have learnt a lot from you, and we hope keep up the momentum even in your absence,” she reiterated.
On behalf of the outgoing Directors Mr. Charles Mopeli said it has been a journey worth travelling, adding that they are glad to leave the Road Fund Secretariat at a stable state that it is.
He said even though they are leaving, they will continue to have an interest on the affairs of the Road Fund and would be ready to offer any support that may be required of them.
The Board Chairperson Mr. Makotoko Makotoko acknowledged the contribution of the two outgoing Directors, saying they were hard workers and always ready to respond to Road Fund matters even beyond their call of duty.
“We will miss you and your enthusiastic manner of working, we are happy that you have declared that you will always be available for us, we will surely keep in touch,” he concluded. The term of duty the Directors ended on December 16, 2025.
