Three outgoing Members of the Board of Directors of the Road Fund were bid farewell at a ceremony attended by the Fund’s Board and Management Team on Friday March 04, 2022.
Mr. Nkareng Letsie who served as a Deputy Chairperson of the Board as well as Ms. Seriti Keta and Mr. Khasapane Kikine who were Members, served the Fund’s Board for six years.
Speaking at the occasion on behalf of the Executive Committee, the Compliance Manager Mr. Phoka Thene commended the three Directors for being committed to the Fund’s work and for being easily approachable at all times.
The Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nkekeletse Makara said they came too far from where the journey started with the Directors, saying through unity they were able to achieve a lot.
“You have set the direction, I am glad we worked well together to push the mandate of the Fund, we hope to do even better in your absence,” he reiterated.
On behalf of the outgoing Directors Ms. Seriti Keta said it has been a journey worth travelling, adding that they are glad to leave the Fund at a stable state that it is.
She said even though they are leaving, they will continue to have an interest on the affairs of the Fund, and would be ready to offer any support that may be required of them.
The Board Chairperson Mr. Makotoko Makotoko acknowledged the contribution of the three outgoing Directors, saying they were always ready to undertake the Fund’s activities even beyond their call of duty.
“We will miss you and your enthusiastic manner of working, we are happy that you have declared that you will always be available for us, we will surely keep in touch,” he said.
The term of the Directors ended on February 28, 2022.
